Rally Kazakhstan - 2021
Rally Kazakhstan - 2021 - long-awaited return, new route and expansion of categories of rally participants!
After forced cancellation of «Rally Kazakhstan – 2020» due to COVID-19, the Automotosport Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan is fully determined to hold Rally Kazakhstan – 2021, according to original scheduled dates from June 07 to June 13, 2021.
For the fourth time, Rally Kazakhstan - 2021 will be a stage of Cross Country World Cup of International Automobile Federation FIA and for the first time as a stage of Cross Country World Championship of International Motorcycle Federation FIM.
This year’s Rally will consist of 5 stages in the Mangystau region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Fulfilling the wishes of our permanent participants, the route of the Rally in 2021 will be 96% renovated compared with previous years. The novelty of this year's edition will be a Marathon stage for all participants of the rally.
All legs of the Rally will start and finish in the city of Aktau on the Caspian Sea coast. The total length of the Rally will be about 2,000 kilometers, and the entire competitors and riders will have to overcome about 1,700 «sporting» kilometers for all 5 stages of Rally.
On June 7, 2021, the official headquarters of the competition will open in the welcoming hotel «Caspian Riviera». There will be inspections for the national class, and on June 8 administrative and technical checks for participants in the FIM World Championship/Cups and FIA World Cup. That evening the ceremonial start will take place on the Caspian Sea shore of Aktau city with a fascinating view of sunset over the sea. This will be followed by 5 stages from 09 to 13 June on the picturesque Mangystau Region. Rally Kazakhstan Service Park will be located in Aktau every day and only participants of the marathon stage will spend one night at the sea resort Kenderly, which is 250 km from Aktau.
Clerk of the Course «Rally Kazakhstan 2021» will be Ronan Morgan, experienced and famous Irish organiser. . The route Recce team this year will be headed by a professional and well-known specialist John Spiller, CoC and Recce director of Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge and Dubai Baja, along with many other marathon events. The total preparation of «Rally Kazakhstan 2021» is ruled by the President of the Automotosport Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Marat Abykayev.
Marat Abykayev, President of Automotosport Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan: "COVID-19 Pandemic did not allow us to hold a planned Rally last year, but this year our team is determined and seriously preparing for a stage World Cup in Mangystau. Every year we strive to improve the rally route in order to make it more interesting and diverse. A distinctive feature of the 2021 rally will be the number of sandy areas, the marathon stage with much navigation work for participants. I would like to express my gratitude to Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of
Kazakhstan, Akimat of the Mangystau region and our partners for their in hosting «Rally Kazakhstan 2021». I hope the global situation with the pandemic will develop positively, and we will be able to welcome a large number of new rally participants, as well as our old friends. "
Restrictions in different countries of the world will undoubtedly make the teams preparation for the rally a little more challenging - so, the organizers will arrange a convoy for the Teams and participants to deliver all equipment and vehicles in time from Europe to Aktau and back after the rally. Restrictions on international flights to Kazakhstan should not affect participants travel to the Rally, as the organizers are engaged in booking a charter flight from Europe to Aktau and back for team members, journalists and officials. Meanwhile some international flights are still in operation to the big cities of Kazakhstan, from where numerous flights to Aktau are available daily.
However, in order to coordinate timely logistics, as well as issuing entry visas to Kazakhstan, the entries for «Rally Kazakhstan 2021» will close in mid-May 2021!
Entry fees for «Rally Kazakhstan 2021» will remain unchanged at the level of previous years.
Women crews, as usual, will be welcomed with highly favorable entry fees, which will hopefully attract a greater number of female participants.
